Jackie Sweeney, Founder & President

Jackie Sweeney is the Founder and President of Becoming U Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on emotional wellbeing, human connection, and creating more accessible, human-centered support for individuals and communities navigating life’s challenges.

Jackie works in the education and behavioral health field and has spent years supporting students, families, educators, and school communities through emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Through her work, she repeatedly witnessed how many people silently carry overwhelm, anxiety, burnout, emotional exhaustion, grief, and disconnection while trying to continue showing up for their lives every day.

What impacted her most was realizing that support often exists — but not always in ways that feel accessible, approachable, or emotionally safe when people need it most.

That realization became the foundation for Becoming U Foundation.

Jackie created the organization from a belief that emotional wellness support should feel more human, compassionate, grounded, and connected to real life. Her vision is centered around helping people feel more supported, understood, connected, and less alone while navigating the realities of being human.

Her work combines professional experience within education and behavioral health settings with a deeply personal passion for emotional wellness, community connection, and reducing barriers to support.

She is passionate about building initiatives, resources, and community-centered spaces that normalize emotional struggles, encourage honest conversations, and remind people they do not have to navigate difficult seasons completely alone.
